The Team was set up when Secretary Mick Byrne was approuched by Simon Doyle who asked was there any football in the area for senior lads, On this premise, the idea was set in motion to create a new team to accomadate the players, 17 in all. In a matter of weeks, the team were registered with the Leinster Junior League and a pitch attained in Ballyowen Park. In fairness to the players they paid for their own pitch and attained sponsorship for the team. Under the guidence of Sean Colman as manager, the senior Team have rose from 17 people who want to play football, to a squad of 22 who can play football. This is a testiment to all involved to what can be achieved with a little hard work and commitment from all. The team are always on the look out for players in or out of the area.
